Car Insurance Companies

Just Car
Just Car Insurance is one of the leading insurance companies that specialises in insuring young drivers. We all know that young drivers, including myself, can get a bit reckless on the road sometimes, making mistakes here and there. A little alcohol and too much energy onto the accelerator can easily result in a fine, maybe a court hearing, and a damaged history. With that, many Car Insurance companies may turn you down if you try applying for their insurance services...
Pay as you Drive
When you have a car, get a comprehensive Pay As You Drive Car Insurance. This is one important decision you have to make because you have to get a good policy for your automobile to secure comprehensive coverage during unexpected emergencies. Of course, this great coverage also suits your budget...
Coles Insurance
Coles Insurance as you may know, is part of the Westfarmer Groups. They are one of Australia's biggest retail companies providing grocery, liquor, fresh food, and general merchandise, and when they started providing insurance too, I was determined to find out more. I personally have not yet met anyone that is a policyholder with Coles Insurance so I cannot give much of an introductory description about their services, but I will be able to after this review...

Progressive Car Insurance has been sitting in my mind for a while now. After seeing all the Internet advertisements and commercials about them, I knew I had to do write a review...
Shannons
When I opened Shannons Insurance's website it was obvious to see that as their motto says "Insurance for Motoring Enthusiasts" was right there. Their website needs a little help as some things are cut-off on the sides but, all the important stuff is readable...
1st for Women
1st for Women, this definitely catches your eye right away. Is this insurance for women only? Well, apparently it is, if you are a woman over 25 with a good driving record...
AAMI
The first thing I noticed on the AAMI Car Insurance website was the number of policies available. Of course, I've seen this before, but I liked the simple, easy to navigate website. It can be hard to design a "neat" website layout when there's so much information to provide, but AAMI did a great job...
Youi
Youi Car Insurance has turned into a major insurer in the past few years, their advertisements being featured at almost everywhere I go. From television commercials to billboards and being sponsors of events, I was keen to find out more about this company and whether or not they offered any special reasons for joining...
Ansvar
Ansvar Insurance is a unique insurance company that I discovered while looking for an insurer that offered insurance for faith organisations and charity groups. I did a quick search on the Internet and Ansvar was disclosed to me as one of the leading companies. I browsed through the website, surprised with everything they offered, and decided to write a review about them...

Lumley
The first thing that struck me with Lumley Insurance's website was how refined and polished it looked. Lumley Insurance has been around for over 60 years and in 2003 was acquired by Wesfarmers Limited. Lumley provides custom General Insurance solutions to more than 735 brokerages across Australia. They have offices in every state so, local offices mean local teams...

They are nationally recognised to provide a variety of insurance products for Home and Contents, Car, Boat, Travel, Life, Pet, Worker's Compensation Cover, and CTP. Numerous numbers of awards have been awarded by them throughout the year. No wonder more than 2,000,000 people have chosen to buy their policies from them...
Bingle
Bingle Car Insurance was one of the first insurance companies I came across when searching through the Internet for cheap comprehensive coverage. At first glance, it looked just like another average car insurance firm claiming to be cheaper than their competitors only on their advertisements, but charging the opposite when it comes to renewing a policy...
Australia Post Insurance
Australia Post Insurance was a surprise to me. I never knew Australia's postal service would have an insurance branch to provide Travel Insurance and Car Insurance. GIO
GIO Insurance, which stands for Government Insurance Office Insurance, was founded in 1927 to provide Workers Compensation Insurance. In 1941, the law was changed to allow them to include Life Insurance too. So as we all know, GIO is no upstart, they are here for the long haul. Their catch phrase at the top of their website is "It's a Trust Thing". After all, isn't that what you're looking for in an insurance company? After researching their website, they really seem to be deserving of that trust, and I decided to start on this review...
BankWest Insurance
BankWest Insurance was established back in 1895 by the Government of Western Australia to help develop the State's farming industry. The Bank incorporated in 1990, and then in 1994 changed its name to the Bank of Western Australia Limited, with the trading name BankWest. All the insurance policies offered are underwritten by VERO Insurance Limited. Vero can trace its origins back to 1833 in Australia. While their website was well laid-out I found only the basic information there. To get the specific details and to be able to make an informed decision I had to go to their Product disclosure Statement...
CommInsure
CommInsure, while the name is relatively new, its roots in the Australian insurance industry and its parent company, the Colonial Mutual Life Assurance Society, go back over 100 years ago into 1873. While they have the history to back them up, their approach to business is anything but old fashioned. They protect the lifestyles of Australians through a fresh, innovative, simple approach...

POMI
POMI is dedicated to providing a wide range of Motor Insurance products. They bill themselves as the only website in Australia that offers; Gap Insurance, Motor Warranties for Dealer Auction -Private, Vehicle Replacement Insurance and Roadside Assistance. Their main insurance product is Gap Insurance. I went to the tab labelled "Why Choose Us" to find out why I should choose them. There I found out that no, you don't have to get Gap Insurance from the dealer no matter how hard they pressure you (that's because they earn a commission from that also). POMI relies on volume sales and doing business over the internet to save you money. No offices, no extra overhead to pay for them. Westpac Insurance
Established in 1817 under the name Bank of New South Wales, it was the first bank in Australia. I think it will be hard for anybody else to beat that. Over the years and through many additions and acquisitions, in 1982 with Commercial Bank of Australia, it became known as Westpac Banking Corporation. In 1979, while still under the Bank of New South Wales name, they sponsored a helicopter Rescue Service that is known today as Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter Service. Insure My Ride
Insure My Ride is a wholly owned subsidiary of Suncorp - one of Australia's largest publicly-listed insurance and financial services businesses. They operate across Australia and specialise in covering private motorbikes. I could see this company was geared toward a younger consumer just by the name and the web layout, which is pleasing to the eye and easy to navigate. Along with the "normal" market, they cover riders who may not typically qualify for the best rates: the oft expensive or denied 18 to 25 year old demographic. The website states that they offer "realistic premiums." Even better, they give a 25% discount for purchasing online...
NAB Insurance
NAB Insurance, which stands for National Australia Bank Insurance, with over 40,000 employees and 1,800 branches worldwide, NAB is no minor player. Their business model is providing quality products, services, fair fees and charges, and relationships built on the principles of guidance and advice. Since that is what they say, I wanted to see if it was true. They offer an impressive list of brands connected to their company such as Clydesdale Bank, Yorkshire Bank, Bank of New Zealand and Great Western Bank...
