Everyone knows the name Woolworths. They opened their first store on Sydney's Pitt Street in 1924. They are well known for their Grocery stores and all the services associated with them. Through their expansion over the years they were able to offer several financial services also, one of them being Life Insurance.

Woolworths Life Insurance is distributed by Hollard, one of the leading names in the insurance industry in Australia. Woolworths offers Life Insurance and Pet Insurance. Woolworth's group of insurances is affectionately known as "My Woolies".

Features and Coverage

First, let's take a look into their Life Insurance offering. Woolworths Insurance claims to give you simple, straightforward coverage to help you protect the things you love. They also claim to give you the same great value through their Life Insurance as you expect from the Woolworths name.

We all would rather not think about it but, it is a reality. What would your family do if something happened to you? Who would pay the bills? If you have children what would happen to their college dreams? So, even though we may not want to, it's something we all should consider. It can't get any easier, online quotes, no medical exam or blood tests required.

Life Insurance:

  • With premiums starting at just $1.42 a week, one can see how painlessly affordable it really is. To keep it simple, there are only three levels of cover starting at $100,000 and up to $1.5 million, depending on your age and income. It works like this, age 18-45 you can get up to $1.5 million, age 46-55 get up to $750,000 and age 56-65 up to $500,000.
  • The benefit you chose is paid for any cause from day one. Your family gets $15,000 advance payment while your claim is being reviewed, this will help with funeral expenses and any other miscellaneous expenses that occur. If you are diagnosed as terminally ill and have less than 12 months to live, your family receives 100% of the benefit up front.
  • Something else, which most of us fail to think about, what if something happens while we are overseas? With Woolworth Life Insurance you are covered 24/7, as long as your premium is paid up.
