Introduction

A screenshot of the insurer's website
I was looking for another insurance companiy that deals solely with Life Insurance and another great find that I discovered was TAL Insurance. I had a look through their website and learned that they started in 1869, which is more than 100 years ago, and have been providing people across Australia with useful insurance policies.

Coverage and Features

One thing that became very apparent to me is the fact that purchasing insurance through TAL Insurance is actually very easy. You will be able to do so through their InsuranceLine brand, through a financial adviser or through a super fund or employer. In this review we will have a look at some of the policies offered by this firm.

  • Business Expense Insurance - This cover came to me as a surprise because I wasn't expecting it. Basically what I found out about it is that you will be able to make claim if you suddenly become sick and stops you from working in your business. What can you do with the cash? Well, you can pay salaries as well as other expenses such as rent and utilities.
  • Total and Permanent Disability Insurance - The advantage of getting a TPD Insurance is to be able to let you receive a lump sum payment that is tax free when you suffer from an illness or get involved in an accident that stops you from being able to work.
  • Critical Illness Insurance - In life, the most unexpected thing can happen, such as suffering a critical illness like cancer and as a result you will need to stop working. What TAL Insurance will be able to do for you is pay you some money so that you can pay for expenses like debts, medical costs and other things.
  • Income Protection Insurance - The one thing that I love about this cover is the fact that you will be able to claim up to 75% of your income if you are unable to work due to injuries or accidents.
  • Life Insurance - Your life is the most important thing you can have, and when you die a lot of expenses can incur such as paying for your funerals and other things, including mortgages. This policy will make sure your loved ones will be able to get the financial support they need.
