Introduction

If you are someone that is concerned about your health and wants to be insured, I suggest giving Latrobe Health a try. They are a private not-for-private health insurer that offers several insurance products types. According to their website, they were founded in 1951 and over 85,000 people are currently being insured.

Features and Coverage

Does Latrobe Health Insurance sound promising? Let us have a look at some of their products and what is so good about them.

  • Health Insurance - There are several health covers you can take out. They include: Family Hospital, Family Extras, Couples Hospital, Couples Extras, Singles Hospital and Singles Extras. Some of the benefits of choosing these covers will let you choose your hospital and doctor, as well as when you want to be treated. The level of protection for each cover can be chosen by you.
  • Home and Contents Insurance - We know you've worked hard for the home you are living in, and by getting insurance you will be able to protect it from damages. Latrobe allows you to get claims if your home or structures, including gardens, sheds and gates are damaged. The Contents Insurance will let you be covers for things inside your home such as furniture, TV, CD Players, and clothes to name a few.
  • Car Insurance - There are three types of policies that you can take out: Comprehensive, Third Party, Fire and Theft, or Third Party Only. I found many reasons to take out one of these covers, including getting lifetime repair guarantee, replacement for new vehicles, choose your own repairer, and best of all, you can pay using direct debit either fortnightly or annually, and there are no extra fees to do so.
  • Travel Insurance - Three types of covers can be taken out: International, Annual Trip, and Australian Travel Plan. Depending on where you are heading and how often you travel, you will be able to find a policy that is right for you. Taking out a policy is actually very easy and will be approved immediately. The thing I like about Latrobe Travel Insurance is the fact that their policy will cover everyone, regardless of age and can cover for accompanying children up to 25 years old.
