Features and Coverage

The first thing that came to my mind when I logged onto their homepage was that I should be expecting cheap quotes and premiums due to the fact the phase: Great Value Health Cover, was visible on every page. So I decided to look at some of their products and see what the benefits of taking them out are.

  • Young & Healthy - This is basically the name Central West Health has given to their Combined Singles Cover. The advantages of taking out this plan are that you will have a choice of which Medical Professional will treat you and where the treatment will happen. You will also get benefits for ancillary health services including general dental, ambulance, prescription glasses, and so on.
  • Family Health - This plan is for young couples and families that want to have their health insured. You will be 100% covered for the cost of shared room accommodation for both public and/or private hospitals. There is also extra protection that you can take out if you want to make sure your family gets the best out of the policy. These extras include ambulance, cover, pharmacy, physiotherapy, podiatry, chiropractic, contact lenses and many more.
  • Comprehensive Hospital & Extras - This plan is fit for singles, families and couples; so basically anyone, and will provide you with the benefits on a variety of Hospital and ancillary health services. Your policy will pay the entire cost of both a private or shared room in certain private hospitals and public hospitals. Extras benefits can also be taken out which are not included in a normal Medicare and can include acupuncture, glasses, home nursing and homeopathy among many more.
  • Comprehensive Hospital and Top Extras Cover - This is the highest level of Extra Covers with a comprehensive hospital cover. This is great for people that don't want to pay an excess for a night stay in a hospital, but do want to decide when and where they will get their hospital treatment and who will treat them.
